    • Profil : You are graduated in civil engineering or architecture with ideally at least 5 years of experience in overseeing several projects from design to delivery and handling team leading and client relationships. Ideally your experiences were in steel construction, modular buildings, scaffholding, and temporary infrastructures. You master CAD Drawings, 3D rendering, and SketchUp. You are resourceful, result and solution oriented, creative, responsiveness, autonomous, team player. Languages : fluent in Japanese and English, the French is a plus.
    The division GL events Live offers expertise covering all business line specialisations and services for corporate, institutional and sports events to provide turnkey solutions from consulting services and design to producing the event itself. More specifically, it is specialized in the construction/installation of temporary infrastructures (temporary grandstands, tents, HVAC, electrical distribution, Audio and Lighting, modular building, tailored made temporary buildings/pavilions) and other services (concept design, project management, furniture, signage…) for major sports events such as Olympic Games, Rugby/Soccer World Cup.

    GL events is looking for a talented project manager for his office in Tokyo.


    In this function, you will be member of a rapidly growing team and you accept the overall responsibility from design to the delivery of projects related to Rugby World Cup 2019 and Olympic Games 2020:


    Upstream of the project:

    - Achieve Technical & design feasibility study in line with clients requirements, GL events products/services and local regulations
    - Collaborate with the design team, the different business units of GL events to provide turnkey solutions
    - Liaise with local partners, architects, engineering offices and clients
    - Project planning
    - Prepare budget, quotations and cost controlling
    - Participate and build proposal for public tenders and private clients
    - Make all requests for estimates from suppliers, or forward the requests to the buying service where necessary.
    - Negotiate with sub contractors and book equipment/engines required for each operation
    - Taking full responsibility for the project delivery in term of program/schedule, cost and quality

    During the project :

    - Supervision of construction/installation activities and leading the on-site assembly team (suppliers, subcontractors, partners)
    - Ensure the client relationship on site : the assembly, site handover, disassembly
    - Advise the client, anticipate, warn on possible risks or difficulties
    - - Role of co-ordination in order to ensure the liaise and information circulation between the client and the company, and between the design department
    - Be responsible for the safety and emergency procedures (event related)
    - Make sure the preparations runs smoothly, and that deadlines are met
    - Ensure compliance with standards, local regulations
    - Carry out an inventory of areas of non conformity /changes / additional sales
    - Write debrief reports
