    GL EVENTS IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT ITS FUTURE DIRECTOR FOR ITS SUBSIDIARY IN JAPAN COORDINATION & MANAGEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS, FIXED-TERM CONTRACT (with a possible evolution into an indefinite duration contract in Japan; full-time) GL events is a worldwide provider of integrated solutions and services for events covering the market's three main segments: • GL EVENTS LIVE: Turnkey event solutions for sports, cultural and political events • GL EVENTS EXHIBITIONS: Trade fairs and exhibitions for professionals and the general public • GL EVENTS VENUES: Hosting event within a worldwide network of venues GL events has more than 4000 permanent employees and a turnover of 953 M€ in 2017. Its subsidiary, GL events LIVE, specialised in turnkey event solutions is looking to recruit its future Directors for its subsidiaries in France and abroad. Our business model, which has been developed and tested during the past 40 years, consists of offering all-inclusive solutions for an event from concept and preliminary design drawings, to the final delivery of the project and installation of large inventories of equipment and technical support. You will report directly to the Director of the International Development. Your role is strategic and exciting and will consist of: • Tenders : o Technical coordination of the responses to international tenders (budget between 1M € & 50M €) • Internal departments: o Transversal management of the technical departments (structures, electricity, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, furniture etc.), the design departments, procurement, quality, human resources, finance etc. • Operational phase of the projects (for example working on a contract concerning a delivery of 50 000m² of temporary structures and related technical services to a major sporting event in Japan) ; o As Deputy Project Director, you will participate in - Strategical decision-making in terms of the project, - Managing human resources, - Dealing with customers together with a sales representative of the project, - Reporting to the Management of the Group or Divisions, - Dealing with third parties (subcontractors, legal experts, insurance companies, local authorities...), - Operational management of the project implementation, - Legal and accounting supervision, - Control and follow-up of project's profitability, - Identifying malfunctions and reporting them to the line manager. Location: Lyon, France (GL events head office), possible business trips to our subsidiaries in France and abroad. Start of the mission: as soon as possible Job type: fixed-term contract of 1 or 2 year (s), with a possible evolution into an indefinite duration contract in Japan; full-time. Purpose: to integrate our Japanese subsidiary (during or at the end of the mission)
